The Lilly Library of Indiana University, Bloomington Mural

These murals, completed in 2021, were commissioned through the Lilly Library Bicentennial Murals Project, an international competition funded by the Lilly Endowment. They are a reflection of the Library's rich resources in world literature, history, the sciences, and the arts, and honor the legacy of J. K. Lilly, Jr. whose remarkable private library of books and manuscripts formed the nucleus of the Lilly Library collections.

My murals in the Lilly Library are next door to the venerable Thomas Hart Benton murals in the magnificent concert hall in the Fine Arts Plaza, which is also home to the Lilly Library.

The Lilly murals were painted in oils on unstretched, primed canvas and installed using the marouflage technique—the canvases were adhered to the walls by a specialist in this method.
