Penn State University Medical Center Murals
Murals for Pennsylvania State University’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, 2019. The themes for these murals are clinical medicine, medical research and medical education. This commission was the outcome of a national competition. They are each painted in oils on three abutting canvases and were installed in the Hospital/College of Medicine’s crescent corridors. Dimensions for each are 3 feet by 15 feet.

Because these are in a medical complex, they are subject to cleaning and disinfection. The solution to this problem was to have plexiglass box frames built.
The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the Penn State College of Medicine believe in the importance of the arts and humanities for their medical students and physicians and are committed to enriching their environment with works of art.
My works are installed in the crescent corridors that connect the College of Medicine, right, to the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center on the left.
